Hare Krsna

Can herbal teas be offered?
Teas sold commercially have been blended by non-devotees, should any of these be used? Or should we make tea ourselves from leaves/flowers/spices that we pick fresh or dry ourselves?

Can tea made from hibiscus blossoms (also known as flor de Jamica) be offered?

thank you

Hare Krsna.

Teas / Drinks which are from the origin of subtle intoxication / addiction cateogries (drinks containing caffine, nicotine..)cannot be offered. Bonafied herbal tea powder are available at most of the local iskcon centres.

Bonafied Herbal tea /coffee. drinks could also be easily prepared at home with easy ingredients and can be offered with love and devotion to the lord . For more details in regards, reqest you to vist at the enclosed link: http://www.recipe.iskcondesiretree.info ... Coffee.pdf

It also betterto be conservative and avoid food items if we are not sure about its content and commercial subjects.

Hope this meets you in good health and estatic mood.
