Q. Is reincarnation true?

A. Yes. There is no other logical explanation for why bad things happen to good people and vice versa.

The results of one's activities may be given in a future time and the person receiving karmic results, ie the 'bad things', may not be aware of the activities they performed in the past to deserve that result. Similarly, we may see someone who appears completely 'innocent' to us, yet in the past life this person may have committed many heinous activities for which they now have to suffer.

If we did not see someone commit a crime, yet the police come to their home and arrest them, do we normally think that this person is totally innocent and the police are randomly arresting him? Or do we think this person must have committed a crime for which he has now been caught? Simply because we did not see the person commit the crime does not mean the crime was not committed. Our seeing or witnessing the crime or not has no bearing on the person's guilt or innocence.

The Lord accompanies every single living being in the material world throughout the innumerable lifetimes the soul experiences. And because the Lord never forgets and His ability to reward and punish are infallible, every single soul in the world receives exactly what they deserve at every moment. We may or may not know our past life or another person's past life, but the Lord has witnessed it all and He directs the material nature to reward or punish as the case may be. The justice system of the material world is completely perfect being under the direction of the Lord. We shouldn't think the Lord is limited in knowledge and memory like us.
